Autumn has spent nearly 20 years helping people
eat well within hard limits, starting with herself. She knows first-hand what it's like to lose access to the ingredients you depend on. Now, through Kimiya, she can help everyone who’s been told what they can’t eat and left to figure out the rest alone.
Keep the recipes you love. Drop the ingredients that don’t love you back.
Kimiya is a recipe-translation app that re-engineers any dish to honor hard dietary constraints — gluten-free, dairy-free, low-FODMAP, or low-histamine — by re-balancing the whole recipe, not just swapping ingredients.
Kimiya’s conversions run on dietitian-built nutrition protocols, with an AI coach that remembers your restrictions and helps every dish come out right.
Private. Dietitian-built. Yours to keep.
Three steps from “I can’t eat that” to “dinner’s ready.”
-
Your recipe
Upload from the web, snap a pic, or type it in. Grandma’s lasagna, a food-blog tahini cookie, last night’s takeout you’re trying to recreate — Kimiya reads it all.
-
Your rules
Gluten-free, dairy-free, low-FODMAP, low-histamine, or your own custom preference. Set them once and Kimiya remembers every time you cook.
-
Your kitchen
Kimiya re-balances the whole recipe — not just swaps — so the bread still rises and the sauce still thickens. Then save it to Kimiya’s cookbook for next time.
Every change is shown, explained, and honest about its confidence.
Kimiya doesn’t hide its work. Each ingredient is tagged for your constraints, every substitution is explained, and when a swap changes the result, Kimiya tells you.
- Clear labels.
Every ingredient is marked safe, modified, or off-limits based on the rules you choose. - A protocol engine, not a chatbot.
Kimiya’s conversions run through a dedicated engine built on dietitian-approved protocols. Other “AI recipe” apps are a chat window with a prompt behind it — they improvise, then tell you not to trust the answer. Kimiya’s coach helps you talk to the engine, but it doesn’t get a vote on what’s safe to swap. - Frontier models, on a short leash.
Kimiya runs on top-tier AI, not a cheaper option that cuts corners on quality or privacy. Your recipes and health context never get fed to a bargain model to shave a bill. You get best-available reasoning, inside guardrails you can see. - Confidence, stated plainly.
When a conversion is a judgment call, Kimiya says so, and tells you what to watch for.
A Dietitian and a Developer
Kimiya is what happens when clinical rigor meets privacy-first engineering. One of us knows what your body needs, the other one knows how to make the tech trustworthy.
Ben is a seasoned engineer and systems designer who puts privacy, security, and guardrails first. He’s the developer making sure Kimiya is trustworthy by design: your data stays yours, the AI stays in its lane, and every change the app makes to a recipe is one you can see and check for yourself.

Honest answers.
What Kimiya does, what it doesn’t, and how it treats the things that matter: your body, your provider’s plan, and your data.
-
Is this just swapping ingredients, or something smarter?
Much smarter. A blind swap (say, almond flour for wheat) usually breaks the dish, because it changes how the recipe behaves: how it rises, thickens, or browns. Kimiya re-balances the whole recipe around the change, adjusting quantities and technique so the result still works. Every change is shown and explained, so you’re never guessing.
-
Which diets and restrictions does Kimiya handle?
At launch: gluten-free, dairy-free, low-FODMAP, and low-histamine, plus custom preferences you set. And when you discover new preferences, Kimiya remembers them next time you cook. More protocols are on the way!
-
Can I use a protocol my provider gave me?
Yes! Alongside the standard diets, Kimiya supports custom constraints, so if your provider has you on a specific elimination or reintroduction plan, you can set those limits and Kimiya will work within them.
-
Can I save a recipe I’ve already modified myself?
Yes. If you’ve already adapted a recipe to fit your needs, you can add it to your Kimiya cookbook as-is,
no conversion required. Your cookbook is yours to fill, whether Kimiya made the changes or you did. -
Does Kimiya help with meal planning?
Not yet, but it will! At launch, Kimiya focuses on converting recipes and saving them to a cookbook you’ll actually cook from. Planning full weeks around your constraints is the next big feature on the way!
-
Who built the conversion logic? Can I trust it?
The conversion logic was developed by a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist and built by a seasoned engineer. It runs as a dedicated engine: each ingredient is converted by an approved protocol, not improvised by an AI. And when a swap is a judgment call rather than a sure thing, Kimiya tells you so!
-
Is Kimiya safe if I have a severe allergy or a medical condition?
Kimiya is a cooking tool, not a medical device. It doesn’t diagnose or treat, and it doesn’t replace advice from your doctor or provider. It helps you cook within the limits you (or your provider) set. Keeping you safe isn’t a job we trust to an AI — that’s why every change is shown and checkable, and why we point you back to labels and your provider for anything severe. For a life-threatening allergy, always read ingredient labels and verify anything Kimiya suggests before you cook.
-
What happens to my data?
Your data stays yours. Kimiya is built privacy-first: your recipes, constraints, and cooking history are used to help you cook — never sold. Personal chats are also redacted before being saved, summarized for quality assurance, and purged regularly.
